The planet comprises 4,416 cities, some of which are grand and others of which are ultra-modern. It features tiny Adamstown, a tiny village in the Pitcairn Islands with a population of just 48 ; it features the city of Venice, a floating city laced by idyllic canals and stunning palazzos. And so, each type of person brings with them their own unique personality, allure, photo-worthy moments, and reasons to visit them. In our view, these are the most beautiful cities in the world.


1. Kyoto, Japan

Surrounded by mountains, Kyoto is a big city in Japan. Kawasaki is based in western Japan and includes many reputable educational institutions. While one of Japan's great tourist destinations, it is notable for having preserved much of the atmosphere of the past, having been the only major Japanese city to avoid the destruction of WWII.


Celebrated as the residence of the Emperor, and Japan's principal cultural center for almost 1,100 years, Kyoto today boasts numerous things to do and great places to explore, including discovering the fine examples of sculptures, paintings, and other art forms in its many museums and galleries.


Your Kyoto travel itinerary deserves an atypical itinerary , too. These should include the many examples of its centuries-old architecture, much of it inspired by Buddhism, which can still be seen in the many magnificent temples situated in the smaller, less visited corners of the old city.

The setting's medieval atmosphere allows it to take the reader to another time. Its old town, the Charles Bridge or its Astronomical Clock, are some of the treasures with which the city delights the increasing numbers of travelers who visit it every year.

Bryggen, an old quarter occupied by the Hanséatica League, is beautiful with colorful houses we take from the city. The area is situated on the coast between hills considered to be the home of famous hoaxers. The fjords are the gateway to Norway. It is not shocking that it is one of the most appropriate points to pause and ponder this architectural wonder.


The KODE Museum uses some of Edvard Munch's works in its installations. We will purchase our meat at the city's port, where numerous street vendors sell different types of meat delicacies from the region. Salmon and dried cod are considered their signature items.



 

7. Istanbul, Turkey

Halfway between Europe and Asia, Istanbul is an example of coexistence between the ancient traditions with the Western modernity. It was called Byzantium first, and, later, Constantinople. Its history still beats in the oldest part of the city. There we find some of its most significant buildings, such as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Cisterna Basilica, the Topkapi Palace or the Grand Bazaar, capable of taking us back in time.


Its most cosmopolitan area is located on the other side of the Bosphorus, where culture and life have been much more westernized. Istanbul has opened itself to the world without losing its Turkish essence. It is also the only city where, just by crossing a bridge, we can change continents.

San Francisco is the kind of quirky place where a fog-calling contest might compete for attention with gala balls marking the opening of the symphony, opera and ballet seasons. From Union Square to North Beach to Japantown, you’ll find intriguing neighborhoods at every turn. The writers of the Beat Generation, the hippies of the Summer of Love in the late 1960s and the gay and lesbian population contributed in making the city what it is today. San Francisco is also one of the world’s great dining destinations, thanks in part to the diverse cultural influences and proximity of fresh ingredients.


It’s a city of contrasts – old and new, cutting-edge and laid-back, urban and pastoral. This is a city in constant evolution. Add iconic sights like the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz Island and intriguing neighborhoods as individualistic as they are dynamic, and San Francisco becomes captivating, creative and truly unique.

It is renowned for being a pedestrian city due to the fact that cars are not permitted on its busy waterways. This is why Venice is considered the most romantic city in Europe. Many artists have left their mark on their impacted property. A school of art, which originated in Italy, still exists and examples can be found in many museums worldwide.


Its presence is extremely distinctive because of its Renaissance architecture, and the Plaza de San Marcos. You can find some of the most visited Italian restaurants in this section. The city was important to Italian music. Not only was Vivaldi born here, but the city is renowned the world over for its famous Opera Arena.



 

10. San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

The city of Guanajuato in Mexico is one of the quietest states in the world. And, the city is also one of the most stunning. Its colonial history is manifested in many of its buildings but also incorporates new Mexican architecture. This is manifest in the many cafés and food stalls found in the region, its marketplaces, cuisine and many of its museums. The city is a part of the path of the Mexican War of Independence since it plays a crucial role in that war.


San Miguel de Allende offers a rich cultural and artistic environment in its surroundings, as well as extensive green areas. Walking only a few minutes from the historic center, there is a botanical garden and a colonial-era water system.
